Delicious food, fair prices. Service was good too. I just wish it was closer to home.

Delightful restaurant with great staff and amazing food. If you enjoy spicy food, this is the place for you (or they can make it mild for the kids).

Excellent food and service. We never had Nepalese food before. The spice range goes from 1 to ten. I had a 7 and it was spicy yet perfect for me. The mo mo apps are a must have. There are many vegan dishes. Easy parking in Hanover area and access from Rt 89 or Rt 91.

With fabulous food in a friendly setting, Base Camp Cafe is as good as it gets around here. I particularly enjoyed their Gundruk soup, meant to combat colds and sinus infections. Highly recommended!

Excellent food and service nestled in Lebanon NH Thought we'd try here since where we were going was out of lunch fare for the day. That being said we were not disappointed in any way. From the beautiful food to our mango lassies everything was great. I had their tofu and mushrooms chili. My wife had jackfruit and mushrooms takari. We had bread and dumplings for apps and chia pudding for desert.

A great spot to try Nepalese cuisine in the Upper Valley. Most of the entrees (curries, stir fry, etc.) all taste similar with just different options for protein and spice level. The dishes are packed with flavor and seasoned well. The momos are especially delicious and are the perfect appetizer for the table. Service is also friendly and not too slow when it isn't on a busy day.

Overall great meal. The vegetarian momos were definitely the best momos I've ever had. The spinach paneer were good too but definitely preferred the savory flavor of the other ones. The herb flatbread was good, soft if a bit bland but the cilantro sauce it comes with was out of this world. So fresh and make the bread really pop. Partner said his chili paneer was better than my plantain takari, similar vegetable mix with tomato based sauces. The lentil dal side I had was really fresh, flavorful and yummy. Light flavor of cumin and really enjoyed it.

I think all the dishes on their menu basically use the same curry base - the only thing that changes is the combination of veggies and proteins you opt for. The chai was delicious, ambiance was unique, service was attentive, and portion sizes were reasonable.

Base Camp is in the basement of a building, but a skylight provides some natural light in addition to the usual incandescent. The decor brings an additional touch of Nepal to the dining experience. We were greeted and seated promptly upon arriving for lunch. Our server brought water while we perused the menu. We started with vegetable mo-mo (steamed dumplings), which were bite-size and full of flavor. I ordered a mild sweet potato takari, which came with ample sweet potato chunks, carrots, and other vegetables. The tomato-based sauce was slightly sweet. My partner ordered shrimp takari with a 7 of 10 on the heat. He described it as a heat that built, but not too hot by any means. Your experience may vary! Our server checked in on us several times, refilling beverages and clearing empty dishes. Lunch portions, which come with basmati rice, we're just right. We'll be back.
